Hello everyone,
Those of you who have been into the Shop recently will have noticed some big changes inside. The old Post Office fortress has been completely re-moved and we are the process of making good the spaces and holes left by its removal, before starting the installation of the new Post Office counter. I’d like to thank Gail’s husband, John, who has been doing a fantastic job at keeping the dust and disruption to a minimum while he carries out the work. Catherine and I completed our training two weeks ago and we are looking forward to serving our first customers on Thursday 4th July. I suspect we will need to refer to the help manuals a lot in the first few days so please be patient with us! We are still looking to hire another person to job share with Catherine so if you’re interested, or know anyone who might be, then please let me know.
You are invited to our ‘Bubbles and Bakes’ Post Office opening ceremony on Friday 12th July – please look out for further information about this event.
Make sure you try one of our fantastic traycakes, cookies, sweet and savoury muffins, flapjacks, and crumblejacks. You’ll find them on the till counter – there’s one with your name on it!
We are delighted to be stocking Madelaine’s Handmade Chocolate and Sugar Confectionery in the shop. With delicious flavours such as Orange, Straws, Ginger Bites, and Chocolate Mallows, they make a perfect treat, or gift.
To celebrate Wimbledon fortnight, we will be offering a cream tea for £3.95 which includes a scone, butter, cream and pot of jam, or £4.50 including a cup of tea
