September blog
Hello everyone,
In July we had a Pimm’s evening outside of the Shop to thank our amazing crew of volunteers who help behind the till or make sandwiches. If you’re interested in joining us, please pop into the shop and leave your contact details and we’ll be in touch.
Are you fed up with having to travel miles to get to your nearest bank branch? Remember, at the Post Office you can deposit and withdraw cash from your current account, pay in cheques, and obtain an account balance. All you need is your debit card (and enough in your account for withdrawals of course!). You can also pay your utility bills and council tax, top up your mobile phone and charge your gas and electricity keys.
If you have a parcel to send or a return to make, we offer services from Royal Mail, ParcelForce, and Amazon and will be happy to help you select the best option.
We’re continuing to expand our range of locally grown fresh produce from Haymans Farm in Shillinglee. Availability varies from week to week but where else can you buy a bag of mixed salad that was picked on the day of purchase?
We are delighted to be selling locally cultivated mushrooms from Nonsuch Mushrooms. We have punnets containing Lions Mane, Grey Oyster, Yellow Oyster, Pink Oyster plus six other strains. Delivered to us fresh each Friday.
I know that many of you miss our salmon and trout pates that we stopped selling when Charlie’s Smokehouse went out of business. Good news! We now have fish pate and smoked salmon from Pinneys of Orford. Both are delicious!
Remember, you can buy your bonfire night torch tickets from the Shop!
With best wishes from Gary and all the staff, volunteers, and Shop Committee members.
