November 2019

Hello Everyone.

As I mentioned in last month’s article, our Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday 16th November between 10am and 2pm. Please save the date! I’m particularly excited as this will be my first experience of what I hear is a very memorable event. Having ordered our Christmas goodies way back in May, I can’t wait to see them on the shelves. I already have my eye on a truffle condiment selection and toffee vodka.

At the Fair you’ll be able to place orders for Christmas turkeys, flowers and wreaths, wines, beers, spirits and cheeses whilst enjoying a cup of warming mulled wine.

The prizes for this year’s raffle are a Magnum of champagne, kindly donated by Taurus Wines, and a luxury Christmas hamper.

In the shop a couple of familiar faces have returned; Alison Bird is helping to make our range of fantastic sandwiches and Charlotte Mount is back behind the till again.

We are stocking a variety of new products including some very moreish cheese nibbles from Mmm! Country Foods in Godalming, delicious pork pies and chicken and apricot pies from Nell Ball Farm near Plaistow and amazing fresh savoy cabbages and parsnips from Secretts.

Please remember we offer a dry cleaning and repair service in the Shop, so if you have a little black dress or suit that needs a clean before the festive party season begins, then now is the time to bring it in.

I’m excited to announce we are updating our range of wines and beers from Taurus. We will be introducing new reds; Helmsman Shiraz, Navajas Joven Rioja and Montevista Cabernet Sauvignon. For the whites; Ponte Pietra Trebbiano. We will also be stocking local beers, including a gift pack, from the Firebird brewery in Rudgwick.

See you at the Christmas Fair!

With best wishes, Gary
