February 2020

Hello Everyone and a belated Happy New Year!

The days seem to be starting to get a little longer; especially on those clear mornings, which, admittedly have been few and far between recently.

Now that our Christmas goodies have been sold, we are trying to promote healthy eating and if you’ve been into the Shop recently you will have seen our fantastic range of pulses, beans, rice, muesli, granola and fresh fruit and vegetables on display.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner it’s worth remembering that we will have a few little gifts that won’t break the bank but will just remind that special someone that they are in your thoughts. Of course, we will have bunches of flowers on sale from Juliette, but if you want to make sure that you get a special bunch let us know and we will take an order for you.

We hope to have some exciting news in the next few weeks around our ranges of fresh fruit and vegetables and bakery items – watch this space!

We have had a number of staff changes. Both Howard Murphy and Jessica Sim left in December but we are delighted to welcome Isaac Mount as our new Saturday morning shop assistant. We also have a number of new amazing volunteers – Charlottte Mount, Marilyn Bailey, Philippa Inskip and Katherine Mellor have all joined in the last few weeks. Please say hello to our new staff and volunteers the next time you’re in the shop. As always, if you’re interested in becoming a volunteer; either behind the till, or making sandwiches, then please pop into the shop and have a word with me, or email me – Contact

With best wishes,
Gary
