It’s finally Christmas time! I feel like I have been talking Christmas, Christmas, Christmas for months now but finally I feel Christmassy. I did so much of my shopping at the Christmas Fair and so now I feel a bit more relaxed. I know some people like to get it done early but I enjoy taking my time to choose what to get everyone. I don’t like to do it too early as it’s part of the Christmas ritual. But since most of my family now have everything they need, I tend to buy them food and drink as presents. I can’t go into the detail to what I have bought as I know that my dad reads my blogs on our website. But we still have much of our range in the Shop so come along and have a look. We also stock the yummy nibbles you need for expected or unexpected guests at this time of the year. I am munching my way through a few of the cheese biscuits which haven’t made it home!
There are still a limited number of places on our Wreath Workshop on the 8th December at the Winn Hall. Tickets are on sale in the Shop or here (Takes you to another website.) or . It is a great chance to get together with friends and start getting into the Christmas spirit. I am hoping that I can make something similar to Juliette’s standard. Juliette will also make wreaths and table decorations to order. Pop in and chat to me or pick up an order form. Or download a form here.
We also have order forms for our cake suppliers and meat order forms for Rawlings. So, make it easy on yourself and order your turkey and ham through us and get it delivered to Dunsfold during Christmas week.
It’s also at Christmas when I feel the need to bake. This year, I might cheat a bit with my Christmas cake and use the fruitcake mix from Simply Delicious to cater for the gluten free friend I have! The children also want to have a go at a gingerbread house. I will be using the recipe here to make it easy for everyone to follow.
Christmas is the one time of year that we close the Shop for a couple of days so keep up to date with our Christmas hours, posted on our door and in the parish magazine – and here.
Hope you all have a great Christmas and thank you for your support during 2017.
