The Shop is more than a shop in Dunsfold. It also supports charities, helps customers with their fundraising and acts as a focal point for tickets for village events.
Fundraising by the Shop
The Shop supports The Friends of Chiddingfold Surgery
The Shop also supports the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance
The charity exists to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Air Ambulance Service for the benefit of the community.
The Shop likes to help its customers with their fundraising activities.
In April 2016, Duncan Hicks ran the London Marathon to support Cherry Trees which is a charity that helps provide respite care for children and young people with disabilities. The Shop collected £75 from customers and Duncan raised nearly £4,000.
In July 2016, staff member Frances White and her two sons got their walking boots on to do the Surrey Hills Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support and raised over £1600.
In 2016, the Shop supported The Children’s Trust with its National Doughnut week campaign. Dunsfold loves doughnuts!
Focal point for tickets to local events
The Shop acts as a collection point for sales of tickets to village events such as the Dunsfold Amateur Dramatics group, Dunsfold and Hascombe Horticultural Society and the Dunsfold bonfire.
The Shop is more than a shop
The Shop helps the village by housing the village defibrillator. But please call 999 first in case of an emergency.
